Vaginal Warts

Vaginal warts are the same as genital warts. The only difference is that this kind of warts only occurs to women. Also, these warts appear on the anal area and on the upper thighs not only on the vaginal area. It is also caused by the Human papillomavirus. It is also considered as one of the sexually transmitted diseases (STD) because it can be transferred through sexual contact and they are highly contagious.

 The human papillomavirus (HPV) is the most common type of bacteria that causes different sexually transmitted disease and this kind of warts is also a type of HPV. The chances of getting this kind of infection increases as you became active to sexual activities. Also, the women who had sex in an early age also have more chances of having this kind of STD.

 The worst thing about this is that some people who have this kind of disease do not post any symptoms. It means that they already have these warts without even noticing it. The growth of these warts differs from person to person. Sometimes, the warts grown really fast that in just a couple of days, it is already visible. There are also instances where the warts do not easily grow and it takes a couple of months.

 The only symptom that may occur is the itching or burning on the area of the vagina. Sometimes, if the range of the warts is bug, the itching and burning may also reach the vaginal wall. It may cause bleeding if you have sexual intercourse. Also, if you do not pay attention to it, it may multiply on the different parts of your genital area or grew larger. Actually, there are also cases where the warts blocked the urinary track that can cause difficulty in urinating.

 These warts may not be detectable if it is located on the cervix or higher up in the vagina. Usually, genital warts are not often a considered a threat on your health but there are times that it can cause cancer. If you are sexually active, it is better that you have a routine of pap smears to determine if there is any presence of HPV on your genital area.

 To prevent any kind serious health risk, it is better that you visit a doctor as soon as you feel that you have vaginal warts. The doctor can tell if the warts can be cancerous or not. If it is not cancerous, there are a lot of ways on how you can treat them even at home. There are creams made from natural plant extracts that can help remove the warts on your genital area.
