What Causes Warts

A lot of people nowadays are suffering from different kinds of warts. People’s lifestyle can affect the growth or occurrence of warts to the body. This is the reason why people are looking for possible solutions to this. Before you find any kind of treatment, it is best that you know what causes warts.

 Genital warts are only one of the warts that may occur to the body. They are the warts that are found on the genital area of a person. If you are sexually active, there is a big possibility that you can obtain this kind of warts. Warts do not only appear on the genital area but also in the other parts of the body. Some of them may be caused by poor hygiene. However, the main cause of warts is a virus which is popularly known as the Human Papillomavirus (HPV). Once you obtain this kind of virus, it will trigger the cell on the outer layers of a specific area to quickly grown resulting to warts. There are more than 100 different types of strains caused by HPV and each of them can result in different warts on the various parts of the body.

 When a person is exposed to the HPV, it will enter to the body through the tiny openings located on the skin. Basically, the warts grow where the HPV entered. If the HPV enters the skin on your genital area, then there is a possibility that warts will grow on the specific area. HPV is also like many viruses since they also have an incubation period. It simply means that once they entered the body, they do not instantly grow on the skin. There is a specific time frame before they can contaminate the area. Once you are infected, it may take a couple of weeks or months before the warts will develop. During the development of the warts, you can experience some symptoms but in other cases, there are no symptoms recorded.

 A reason for this is that the body of individuals has their own strength. It means that the development of the virus depends on the immunity of the body. If your body has good immunity, there is a possibility that virus will just be destroyed. However, if you have a lower immunity, there are instances that warts grown in just a couple of days.

It is also highly contagious especially the people who are having sexual activities. If your sexual partner has genital warts, there is a possibility that it will be passed on to you. Aside from this, using the personal things of other people can also be cause of having warts. Using their towels or touching their own things may also cause warts since the virus can live outside of the body.
